Penumbral Lunar Eclipse will be visible March 23 2016 from most parts of Asia, Australia, North America and South America.
A penumbral lunar eclipse will occur when the Earth’s shadow or umbra misses the Moon during a lunar eclipse, lunar eclipses can only occur the night of a full moon. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon’s location relative to the Sun and Earth. Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to view without any eye protection or special precautions, as they are dimmer than the full moon.
It would be a good idea to bring a decent pair of binoculars or small telescope to help see the shadowed part of the Moon which is only a little bit fainter than the rest of the Moon.
Lunar eclipses look approximately the same all over the world and happen at the same time.
The times displayed are accurate to around two-three minutes.
